Dear APANZ members,
I hope you’re enjoying some summer.
I’m writing with some sad news. Our wonderful, warm, generous, and capable Luisa has let us know of her resignation from her role.
On Monday of this week Luisa let us know that she has gained employment in a new role with the Ministry of Education as an Advisor on Deaf Children. Her last day of work for APANZ will at the latest be on Friday January 17, 2025.
Luisa, you have been such a wonderful employee with APANZ. Your manner with the membership and the public has been kind, warm, generous, and incredibly helpful. You have been astute, intelligent, and so generously involved with so many aspects of the life of this Association. I am sure we are all going to miss you so much.
I know you have greatly valued working with us, and that you are sad to be leaving, but also that this next move is a very meaningful one for you.
We will miss you so much and are so very grateful.
We will be in touch again soon with all APANZ members, about plans for an opportunity to say farewell to Luisa.
In the meantime, Council is currently implementing a process for seeking a replacement for the irreplaceable Luisa.
Warmly to all,
John O’Connor
