Somatic Experiencing Training Flyer
Founded by Dr. Peter Levine, the Somatic Experiencing psychobiological trauma resolution model is designed to enhance the skills of health professionals working with traumatised or stressed individuals. The SE Training provides an understanding of our innate biological capacity to heal whilst offering practical tools for immediate clinical integration.
Working directly with a person’s psycho-physiology, supported by neuroscience and drawing upon Stephen Porge’s Polyvagal Theory, SE enhances the depth, effectiveness and outcome of psychotherapeutic interventions; including those focused on relational, developmental and psychodynamic issues.
Improve clinical outcomes with a mix of body-based awareness, somatic interventions and knowledge of the nervous system’s response to trauma, including the application of Stephen Porge’s Polyvagal theory.
Learn how to identify what is interfering with a person’s internal threat-recovery process and so address the root cause of trauma symptoms to re-set the nervous system.
Inspire and empower clients to develop tools for restoring resilience and providing them with a greater capacity to actively engage in life.
As SE aids regulation of the autonomic nervous system, which underlies every aspect of our physical, emotional, and psychological functioning, the applications of SE are diverse.
Worldwide, SE is already used by over 9,000 practitioners in both psychotherapeutic and body oriented therapies.
The 36 day SE training consists of 6 x 6-day modules, each 6 months apart, spread over three years.
