Kia ora APANZ colleagues, |
It is with great sadness that I inform you of the sudden passing of our colleague and friend, Sue MacGibbon. Sue died, surrounded by her family, last Monday 21st October after a very short illness. Sue was a vibrant woman who right to the end was organising family trips and living. Sue was planning to retire at the end of this year having had a full career as a psychotherapist. She training at AUT mid 1990’s and worked for many years in sexual health. Sue was one of the founding members of Clayburn House in Glen Eden and also worked there for close to twenty years. In the last years Sue moved to Matamata where she again set up practice. Sue touched the lives of many, many people providing holding and a space to heal. She also provided a place to laugh – hearing laughter come from her therapy room is one of the many things I will hold dear about Sue. Sue’s family held a private service to celebrate her. Arohanui Sue you will be greatly missed. Anne O’Kane Ph: 0272859537 anneokane@xtra.co.nz |
