Workshop Brief
This workshop is for anyone with a desire to explore who they are in relation to Te Ao Māori, including
professional and personal identities. You will be supported to interact, reflect, and grow through a Te Ao
Māori lens during this experiential workshop.
In our professional environments there is an increasing need to be more culturally aware and safely engage
with Te Ao Māori. This workshop will help you to:
- Identify where you are positioned in relation to Te Ao Māori
- Explore where you would like to be now, are required to be, or want to be positioned in the future
- Identify strengths and potential barriers on your pathway to connecting with Te Ao Māori.
“Go to this course! Jase and Roxy are engaging, accepting and encouraging. Throughout the day I was able
to reflect on my practice, collaborate with others to hear alternative perspectives, and eventually head
home with a personal plan to move forward. Ka rawe!”
– Kate Jepsen, Audiology Clinical Educator, University of Canterbury
